SNAPPY CAPTURE PRIVACY POLICY

OUR COMMITMENT

Snappy Capture is a local-first screenshot and documentation tool. Captured webpage pixels, annotations, and guide content are processed in your browser and are not uploaded to our license service.

WHAT SNAPPY DOES

Snappy Capture lets users capture webpages or selected screen regions, annotate screenshots, export PNG, JPEG, or PDF files, and create step-by-step visual guides.

DATA WE PROCESS

- Screenshot pixels and guide content are processed and stored locally in the browser until the user exports, deletes, or clears them.
- For license activation and validation, our hosted Supabase service receives the activation email, activation code, a random installation UUID, extension version, license status, and validation timestamps.
- We do not send captured webpage content, screenshots, annotations, clipboard content, or guide images to the license service.

HOW DATA IS USED

License data is used only to activate the purchased edition, enforce one-email/one-device licensing, validate license status, prevent fraud, and provide support. Snappy does not sell user data, use it for advertising, or use it to determine creditworthiness.

CHROME PERMISSIONS

- activeTab, scripting, and debugger enable user-initiated capture and full-page screenshots.
- downloads saves exports requested by the user.
- storage and unlimitedStorage retain local captures, guides, preferences, and the signed license token.
- clipboardRead and clipboardWrite support explicit Copy and Paste actions.
- contextMenus provides capture commands from the extension menu.
- The Supabase host permission is used only for signed-license activation and periodic validation.

RETENTION AND DELETION

Local captures can be discarded inside Snappy or removed by uninstalling the extension or clearing extension storage. License records are retained while a license is active and as reasonably required for fraud prevention, support, and transaction records. Users may request deletion of eligible license records through the support website.

SECURITY AND SHARING

License responses are cryptographically signed. We do not sell personal information. Service providers are used only as needed to operate the licensing service and are bound to their service terms.
